On Court welcomes an All Star into the studio in the countdown to the 2011 ANZ Championship Grand Final The legendary Sharelle McMahon, who led the Melbourne Vixens to the 2009 ANZ title, flies in from Melbourne to be in the On Court studio to join her former Australian Diamonds team mate Kath Harby-Williams and former Silver Ferns Shooter Tania Dalton. McMahon has just been named Goal Attack in the All Star team named for this year’s ANZ Championship, confirming her status as the world’s best goal attack.
She ruptured an Achilles tendon this season, but has followed closely the form of the teams who’ve made it through to the 2011 playoffs and will offer her views on who’s going to win the crown this year, plus who’s got the upper hand as the Silver Ferns head towards the World Champs in Singapore in July, where they’ll no doubt face yet another showdown with the arch foes Australia to decide the title.
Also On Court this week former Ferns Captain Bernice Mene highlights the action in the preliminary final played between the Northern Mystics and the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic plus she’ll preview the Grand Final to be played in Brisbane on Sunday. On Court also profiles the Mystics’ Messiah – coach Deb Fuller – who’s led the Northern Mystics to the play offs for the first time in the franchise’s history.
