Local artist Autumn selected for New Zealand Art
Show
Te Aro artist Autumn has been
selected to exhibit in the New Zealand Art Show.
This is
her 6th year she has been selected and has three new works
going into the show.
She is a contemporary
figurative artist, her signature stylized figures are a
mixture of darkness, beauty and sex appeal.
Autumn says "I am fascinated by vintage glamour, Pin Ups, Burlesque and the victorian era."
She is known for here limited colour palette which helps give a moody atmosphere to each piece and to that she adds a semi surreal narrative.
The New Zealand Art Show is an annual three day art exhibition held in Wellingtons TSB Arena. This years show runs from Friday the 29th July to Sunday the 31st July 2011.
