The Glean Party
Jann Lenihan has a BFA (Hons) from Massey University and is currently teaching at Makoura College in Masterton. She has exhibited in group and solo shows in the Wairarapa and has contributed to group shows in Wellington. This is her first solo show in Wellington.

The Glean Party is a selection of work using materials resourced from other uses but fitting within a traditional media framework. For example left-over house paint has been used on curtain backing stretched over a re-used frame. The subject matter and concepts have also been gathered from other uses.
This
gleaning of ideas and resources is more appropriation than
recycling.
Jann enjoys exploring the concept that -
Everything has been done before: but not by
me.
