Futures Entertainment is proud to announce the first single & music video release for our newly signed artist, and talented singer songwriter Bryce Wastney. www.brycewastney.com
New Zealanders are known for their ingenuity and ‘just do it’ attitude, and Bryce is no exception. Once a boat builder, now a full time touring musician, he writes beautiful heartfelt songs, filled with rawness and honesty. His style is smooth, soulful, and authentic.
Bryce Wastney’s single Surf the Sky is an emotive & spine chilling ballad about the beauty of love and features the sultry vocals of Aly Cook.
The music video was produced by award winning TVNZ editor, Paul Sparkes, and filmed in the naturally rugged cashmere hills overlooking the city of Christchurch, in the heart of the South Island of New Zealand - just 2 weeks prior to the devastating earthquake.
Out of over 2000 submissions, 6 songs from Bryce’s Album ‘ A Perfect Day for Travel” have been included in the NZ feature film Last Paradise, and the music video features footage from the film. www.lastparadisefilm.com
‘’The film
features a stunning collation of original footage of
adventure sport pioneers, like AJ Hackett, exploring the
mountains and waves.
Surf the sky was a perfect fit for
the hang gliding scene, and with Bryce’s emotive & visual
songwriting style it really adds to the story of the film”
says film producer Clive Neeson.
Bryce was born in Nelson, NZ and is now based in Melbourne Australia where he performs both solo and with his backing band - soon to tour NZ in September.
A Perfect day for travel is jam packed with soulful & catchy songs, and has been mixed / mastered by Mike McCarthy (Manuka Studios, Orewa) and is available for download via Itunes (world wide). Will soon be available for purchase in NZ CD Stores via ODE Records.
