It may seem Cat Venom are having a relatively quiet 2011; they've come out from hiding a few times to play a select number of shows. The truth of the matter is much different though. The two-piece have been working hard towards writing new material, strengthening their sound and aiming high - skipping the traditional EP route and instead releasing a full length-er for Summer 2011/2012. Picking and choosing their musical bouts, all the while punching above their weight, Zina and Maeve are starting to emerge at the tail end of the year to eager audiences and even eager-er ears.

Music for girls who are bored of diet grrl and the diluted female rock, check out Cat Venom for your dose of old-school Punk ideals; take something, fuck it up, and deliver it without caring who cares.

X-Ray Fiends

Two part Shore-land, one part Highway 16 - that’s where the X Ray Fiends live. Bonded in their love of Nuggets and early Sabbath, the X Ray Fiends have just recorded an EP of material for release in late August 2011.

Having taken out the 95bFM Summer Series Battle of the Bands this year, and with their track Tsunami currently doing the rounds on the b, X-Ray Fiends are sure to warm up the Wednesday Night.
