Greytown gets in behind Georgia
Two busloads of players and supporters from Greytown Junior Rugby were up early this morning making their way to Palmerston North to cheer on the Georgians as they take on Argentina.
"Our kids know we are looking after Georgia for RWC and we wanted to be there for this important game," says Greytown Junior Rugby chair Paora Ammunson.
"While we are more used to wearing black we have enough red and white face paint for an army!"
"Red wigs and paint have been recycled from other games where some of us were cheering on Samoa, Wales and Tonga in other pool games."
Making sure as many youngsters as possible had the chance to go to a RWC game was a goal for Greytown Junior Rugby this year.
"Our rugby clubs and volunteers in our heartland towns bring thousands of families together and this year will be one we know our kids will remember forever."
However by the final RWC game there will only be one team on the minds of our players and without a doubt we will be backing black said Mr Ammunson.
