Operatunity’s 10th Anniversary

MEDIA RELEASE – October, 2011

Operatunity’s 10th Anniversary

Presenting a show that sold-out months in advance in Auckland, award-winning Operatunity is back with an anniversary concert celebrating its 10th birthday.

Founding partners Geoffrey, John and Sue are joined by New Zealand’s very own Three Tenors Benjamin Fifita Makisi, Bonaventure Allan-Moetaua and Derek Hill, crowd favourites Tessa-May Brown and accompanist Alex Wiltshire.

With music celebrating 10 years of concerts, the show features favourites from classical and opera to show tunes and music theatre with the special blend of professional entertainment, fun and laughter Operatunity is famous for.

Partner Geoffrey Hughes says a decade of fabulous music, fun and camaraderie will be celebrated in the show which has something for everybody.

“Come and join the party,” he says.

“We have 14 people who came to our first shows 10 years ago and are still attending every month. These 14 have turned into a nationwide audience from Whangarei to Invercargill.”

Operatunity’s 10th Anniversary is a true variety concert with a range of classics from La Danza and Il Bacio to There’s no business like show business and Old Man River to The Rose and You’ll never walk alone.

Operatunity will be coming to your town during October and November for its birthday tour. Tickets cost $28 and include lunch with the artists, with discounts available for group and concession bookings.
