Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears at The Powerstation
Black Joe Lewis and the
Honeybears
Live at The Powerstation –
Monday 7 November with support from Tyra Hammond and The
Blue Birds
Hard hitting blues, funk and
rock’n’roll – good times!
With two rock-solid albums – Tell ’Em What Your Name Is and Scandalous (Lost Highway) – under their belts, Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears are set to get you rocking.
Having toured with the likes of New York Dolls, Cedric Burnside & Lightnin’ Malcolm, and drawing influence from legends such as Elmore James, Howlin’ Wolf and Lightnin’ Hopkins, Black Joe Lewis will deliver a sonic assault of old school blues, funk and rock’n’roll, all delivered with some punk attitude.
From the instant
classic road trip song ‘Mustang Ranch’ to the spooky
vocal and acoustic ‘Messin’, or the funky fantastical
opening track on Scandalous, ‘Livin’, this band
is gritty, raunchy and not for the faint-hearted.
Get
your tickets to witness an all-round ear drum-ripping,
pelvis-assaulting performance at The Powestation.
