From the 12th September to the 12th October 2011 just short of 5,000 people have visited the new art museum premises – more than an entire year’s audience at the old museum premises.

The NEW art museum has also featured in extensive media coverage in the past month in:_

Northern Advocate, NZ Herald on Sunday, TVNZ Breakfast, Channel North TV News, Scene Magazine, Savvy Magazine and upcoming Art News NZ features.

These can all be viewed on the new website also and on WAM Facebook.

The New Zealand Herald on Sunday in a feature article last Sunday also selected The new Whangarei Art Museum among the TOP TEN galleries in the Upper North Island to visit.
