Local dancer Karen Nanasca needs your votes now!
Melbourne-based dancer Karen Nanasca is one
of six talented ballet dancers in the running to receive the
honour of being named the 2011 Telstra Ballet Dancer Award
winner and awarded a $20,000 cash prize, provided by
Principal Sponsor Telstra.
Supporters from Melbourne are also being urged to vote for Karen in the People’s Choice Award which will be decided by public vote, before entries close at midnight on Friday 4 November.

Karen was born in Auckland, New Zealand. Hailing from an athletic family, she followed in their footsteps by studying ballet from the age of seven.
Karen won the New Zealand National Ballet Award in 2004 and was a semi-finalist at the 2005 Prix de Lausanne. In 2006 Karen was awarded the Elizabeth McDonald Scholarship, allowing her to join The Australian Ballet School.
