Auckland women prisoners running Christmas fair
On Saturday November 19 Auckland Region Women’s Corrections Facility is hosting a Christmas Fair in the public car park.
Women are making items to sell in the fair and planning the event. It is believed to be the first event of its type in New Zealand.
Art and handcrafts, Christmas goodies, bric-a-brac and plants will be on sale. The café will have home baking and there will be fun activities for children.
The money raised will go to Snug Homes Auckland (South Auckland Health Foundation) and Mobility Dogs.
The fair is from 10am-2pm at 20 Hautu Drive, Wiri, Manukau.
