Visa congratulates Valerie Adams - Top Three in the World
Auckland, 13 November 2011 – Queen of the Shot Put, Valerie Adams, has been recognised as one of the top three female athletes in the world by the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF).
At age 27 Valerie Adams is the current Olympic Champion, current World Champion, 2008 World Indoor Champion, and current Commonwealth Champion. She threw a personal best of 21.24m earlier this year in Daegu, South Korea to take out her third straight world title and has remained unbeaten throughout 2011.
Sean Preston, Country Manager at Visa New Zealand, says the acknowledgement completes an outstanding year for Valerie.
