Rain-ready punters tip a GABBA stalemate!

Rain-ready punters tip a GABBA stalemate!

A first Test draw at the GABBA has tightened from $3.10 into $3.00 with leading bookmaker Centrebet as punters factor in thunderstorms that are tipped to rip across Brisbane!

Centrebet’s Neil Evans said one Sydney punter had bet $7,500.00 at $3.00 on an opening draw after scores of smaller three and four-figure bets! “The weather is looming large, but really with grass on the wicket, and so many new bloods and inexperienced players in both sides, this betting Test could fly around all over the place,” he said.

Evans added punters were very wary about taking any odds-on price about Australia, even against what looks a very weak NZ side! “The Aussies have eased from $1.77 out to $1.83 in the last 24 hours, and with so many changes, we’re struggling to write a sizeable bet. In fact, the big price about the Kiwis ($6.00 into $5.50) has been far more popular!”

Veteran Australian batsmen Ricky Ponting and Michael Hussey (both $11.00) remain the best backed players in the Man of the Match market!

Australia remains a short $1.42 to win the three-Test series, with the Draw still value at $4.25, and NZ a whopping $7.75!

Centrebet is betting on a record number of team, individual & exotic markets during the first Test, as well as full “Live” market coverage!

1st Test (Starting tomorrow)

$1.83 AUSTRALIA (out from $1.77)
$3.00 DRAW (in from $3.10)
$5.50 NEW ZEALAND (in from $6.00)
