Silo Cinema, Night Markets and Silo Sessions at Silo Park
Silo Cinema, Night Markets and Silo Sessions at Silo Park
Fridays and Saturdays are sorted for the Auckland summer
30 November 2011
Silo Cinema
Outdoor cinema has found a happy home in the newly created Silo Park in the Wynyard Quarter on Auckland’s waterfront.
Every Friday night through summer catch some of your favourite films projected onto the giant Silo 7 standing amongst the rolling grassy knolls and waterways and unifying this truly unique communal space.
There is a licensed bar providing local wine and craft beer plus DJs playing and food markets running from 5pm. In January 2012 you can expect to see full development of the Silo Park Night Market with crafts, art, fashion and food stalls running from 5pm right through until midnight.
The screenings begin just after sundown at 9pm with a New Zealand music clip and short film preceding the main feature. So bring a cushion and a blanket, the family, your friends or main squeeze and settle in nice and cosy for a cinema experience unlike any other.
Silo Sessions
Join us in welcoming some of New Zealand’s excellent up and coming bands and talent appearing alongside some very well established artists who will be gracing the Silo stage every Saturday from noon till 5pm.
Silo Sessions will play host to special guest curators, community groups and collectives creating unique showcases, performances and exhibiting some of the vibrant musical talent that New Zealand has to offer.
