Premier Clothing Sponsor for Orion Health Godzone Adventure
Premier Clothing Sponsor for Orion Health Godzone Adventure100% PURE Racing is delighted to announce that New Zealand clothing company, Macpac, will be the premier apparel sponsor for the forthcoming Orion Health GODZone Adventure to be held over Easter, 2012.
Macpac is widely regarded as New Zealand’s pre-eminent outdoor clothing and equipment brand and has almost 40 years of heritage and experience in producing quality outdoor gear.
The company, founded in Christchurch back in 1973, has a long association with adventure racing as a major sponsor of events like the Adventure Racing World Championships held recently in Tasmania.
Orion Health GODZone Adventure co-director Adam Fairmaid says it's a coup to sign up such a dedicated sponsor.
“Having Macpac on board is fantastic for us as an event but it is particularly exciting for the competitors. They consistently produce the best clothing and equipment for the outdoors and it is great that the competitors, race crew and volunteers will get to sample it during the event.”
He says with Macpac’s large retail presence throughout New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Europe and the U.K, the partnership will help to market the event globally.
Macpac director Campbell Junor says the company is proud to be part of the 2012 Orion Health GODZone Adventure race.
“It’s fantastic to see
an international resurgence in adventure racing events,
particularly in New Zealand and Australia where the terrain
lends itself so well to these expedition type events. The
Macpac adventure racing range is growing along with the
sport itself and we’re stoked to get on board with a great
crew in Queenstown as an official
sponsor.”
