Raval only change for Aces
MEDIA RELEASE
Thursday, 1 March 2012
Opener Jeet Raval joins the Auckland Aces 12 that will face the Central Stags in Napier for round seven of the Plunket Shield starting tomorrow.
Raval replaces injured fast bowler Dean Bartlett in an Aces line-up that is keen to get back to winning ways over the next four days.
The loss to the Wellington Firebirds earlier in the week meant that the Aces slipped back to third on the Plunket Shield points table and extended the gap between them and leaders the Northern Knights.
Coach Paul Strang however believes that the loss to the Firebirds provided some valuable lessons that the Aces can learn from.
"We basically had one bad session which took the game away from us. We missed some opportunities and we probably didn't cash in when we got starts with the bat. But they're all things that you can work on and put right, and we're confident that we've done the hard work to make that happen against Central."
The twelve to take on the Central Stags from tomorrow (Friday) is as follows:
Gareth Hopkins (c) (Parnell)
Brad Cachopa (Takapuna)
Colin de
Grandhomme (Howick Pakuranga)
Anaru Kitchen (Waitakere
