Read Raw 2012 – rehearsed play readings
Press release 2 nd March 2012
The Auckland Playwrights Collective and STAMP are pleased to announce the return of Read Raw at The Edge, first Sundays of each month April–Sept. Presented in association with THE EDGE Public Programmes.
The APC is a group of Auckland playwrights that met during Playmarket’s playwright studio. For over 6 years the collective have been helping new and emerging writers develop their plays, by providing a workshop and a rehearsed readings in front of an audience. The workshops are conducted by an experienced director/dramaturg and professional actors. After the reading, the audience is invited to discuss the play with the creative team, ask questions and say what they liked and didn’t like about the script . The feedback is to help the playwright with the next draft before going into production.
