Trinityroots’ Hometown Show

Trinityroots’ Hometown Show

TrinityRoots announce a special hometown performance at the Capital’s venerable Bar Bodega on May 18 2012.

Following their triumphant return to the live fray in 2010, TrinityRoots offer their Wellington fans the rare experience of seeing their incredible live show in such an intimate environment. It also marks the last TrinityRoots show until summer as their drummer heads abroad for a hiatus on international waters.

TrinityRoots’ fusion of psych-rock, reggae dub and soul has been winning hearts and minds across NZ and internationally since 1998. When the band split in 2005, few could foresee the breadth and depth of the legacy they left behind. The rapturous critical and popular acclaim that greeted their 2010 reunion and the accompanying film 'Music Is Choice' left no doubt that they were and remain one of New Zealand's most beloved bands.

TrinityRoots are founding members Warren Maxwell and Rio Hunuki-Hemopo alongside recent addition and honorary 'little sister' Jean Pompey on drums. Of their latest member Maxwell states that "...Jean has brought a fantastic dynamic to the band...It's given us a new, different kind of perspective."

Come and see the latest incarnation of this legendary band when TrinityRoots play this special hometown show at Bar Bodega on Friday 18 May.
