ALL IS FAIR IN LOVE AND…POLITICS?

Members of Parliament are braving the “weather” and gearing up for a laugh this Wednesday at the Opening Night of Public Service Announcements at BATS Theatre.

Several MP’s have slotted time into their busy schedules this year for the 2012 NZ International Comedy Festival season of Public Service Announcements. Every politician is fair game in this increasingly popular political satire whose script is to-the-minute current with all the latest Parliamentary shenanigans. This year’s focus is the upcoming Budget and Budgeteers… a laughing matter? We think so! Who says politicians don’t have a sense of humour? After a sold out season at the 2011 NZ International Comedy Festival, and a now legendary run at BATS Theatre during the Rugby World Cup, Hair Of the Dog Productions and the No Fefe Collective return to the scene of their crimes with an all new show. A fantastic show for anyone interested in what happened to their vote, with an extra treat for the members of the public service, or simply those wishing to have a good laugh at our inglorious leaders. Public Service Announcements is guaranteed to be the comedy event of the third week of the Festival… “The cast brought continual waves of laughter from the audience to make this laugh-a-minute show a great piece of political satire and very entertaining.” -- Ewen Coleman, Dominion Post
