Triangle’s letting the bogan boys loose

MEDIA RELEASE: June 14, 2012

Move over GC, Triangle’s letting the bogan boys loose

Without so much as dipping a pinkie in the government’s money piles, Triangle Television has found new fodder for GC lovers.

“The Boy’s Place”, a six-part comedy series, features the adventures of an unlikely group of bogans. Join beer swilling Shamus, film and TV addict Josh and their kleptomaniac, gay, farm-boy flatmate Brett as they set up house in greater suburbia. There’s a urinal in the bathroom, a settee made from beer cans and plastic swords bedeck the walls.

“The Boy’s Place” screens free-to-air on Triangle from Tuesday July 3 at 8pm.

Now, make sure you have plenty of popcorn on hand because continuing in the tradition of its popular “Classic Movie” slot, Triangle has lined up some top flight titles from the ‘50s and ‘60s.

Commencing with “Rebel Without a Cause”, starring the legendary James Dean at his peak, “Classic Movies” will screen greats like “A Night to Remember”, the 1958 docu-drama of the Titanic story starring Kenneth More and the Hitchcock terror classic, “Psycho”.

Programme director Hans Versluys says that the future line up is equally as memorable and also includes some international blockbusters.

“We have looked all over the world for the best selection of movies we can find that deserve to be seen again,” says Mr Versluys.

Triangle’s “Classic Movies” screens on Wednesday at 8:30pm from July 4.
For the techno-geek, the channel turns its’ focus to pop-culture and brings you “Geek Speak”, a fast-paced, 15 minute compilation of the best reviews of comics, games and movies.

“Geek Speak” debuts on Thursday July 6 at 7:45pm

Ends
