Charlie Brown Announces Her New
Zealand Fashion Week Debut
Charlie Brown, the Australian fashion designer known for her beautiful cocktail dresses, evening dresses and bridal wear, will be showing for the first time at New Zealand Fashion Week (NZFW) 2012.
Charlie Brown is the first designer to be announced on the 2012 NZFWschedule and adds an exciting international flavour to the anticipated list of participating designers.

New Zealand Managing Director Pieter Stewart is thrilled to have such a prestigious and colourful designer winging her way across the Tasman to take her place on the NZFW catwalk, as the eyes of the fashion world turns to New Zealand.
“Like fashion itself, each year is different for NZFW, with a new mix of local designers signing up to showcase their collections to the world. Now international designers of the calibre of Charlie Brown are also looking toNZFW as an opportunity to grow their brands, which shows how strong the event has become.
“Charlie Brown is well known on these shores and with a strong, glamorous following in New Zealand, is a very welcome addition to what is shaping up to be another exciting event,” said Stewart.
With a retail presence via her own boutique in Auckland’s Newmarket, and through leading department stores, Kirkcaldie and Staines and Smith and Caughey, Charlie Brown has established fashion credentials in New Zealand.
"Since opening my Charlie Brown Auckland store in August 2011, I have been overwhelmed with the interest in my fashions from New Zealanders and it seems so natural to now be participating in New Zealand's premium fashion event," said Brown.
Brown’s designs are known for their sexy playfulness and her clothes for their beautiful construction and tailoring.
Brown’s is
also known for her dramatically designed shows, which have
featured
some of the worlds most high profile models and
talent, including Linda Evangelista, Helena Christiansen,
Sophie Dahl, Jerry Hall, Jodie Kidd, Jade Jagger and Lily
Cole.
The final list of confirmed designers and the schedule of shows is still weeks away, but whatever the day and time, Charlie Brown’s show is sure to be one of the most highly anticipated of the week.
