Eat Clean, Train Mean, Get Lean...CrossFit Nelson Arrives
‘The Sport of Fitness’ has arrived in Nelson. CrossFit Nelson is now open at 78 Quarantine Road, inside cityfitness gym. The space includes a full fitout of CrossFit weights and conditioning equipment as well as access to changing rooms and a cafe for its participants.
CrossFit workouts are accessible to anyone who is willing and able, or, according to CrossFit.com, ‘any committed individual regardless of experience’. The programs are meant to yield significant results in performance of daily life, sport or other – they create the ‘fitness’ that each individual needs based on his/her training requirements and goals.
The Nelson affiliate is led by Lauren Graham, a certified Level 1 CrossFit coach with a diverse fitness background. Lauren got into endurance training and multisport fitness after a devastating knee injury took her out of team sports, and has since become an avid runner, mountain biker and fitness professional. She is also a certified personal trainer who holds a Bachelor of Sport and Recreation and has practiced and studied Olympic lifting extensively.
