Rhythm And Alps 2012 - Festival Update

MEDIA RELEASE

Rhythm And Alps 2012 - Festival Update

Summer is fast approaching and plans for Rhythm and Alps are ramping up. We are very pleased to announce some new local and international acts to the line-up, and we also have some exciting accommodation options now available which will make this a festival experience like no other.

Now rounding off an already jam-packed two days, R&A presents: the hottest producer on the Aussie electronic scene right now, Flume; the South Island’s favourite bass aficionado, Olie Bassweight; prolific Wellingtonian percussionist Riki Gooch; plus popular Christchurch trio The Make Believe.

These new acts join headliners SBTRKT, Disclosure, Netsky, Chali 2na and more, across four different zones. Another stand-out part of the line-up is the Hospital Records crew from London, coming down to NZ to present a showcase of their artists. This is a huge score for the festival and something for Kiwi DnB fans to get excited about.

Plans for the four stages of the festival are coming together now, and set times will be released online very soon. A ‘Starlight Cinema’ has also been added to keep people entertained if they feel like chilling out away from the main stages.

The unique setting is a big part of R&A and the view of the Alps from Terrace Downs Resort is incredible. Now, for festival fans who feel like upgrading their R&A experience, premium accommodation is on offer at the resort’s villas. Packages available on the R&A website.

For those who are keeping it real at the campsite, there is a fantastic new option now available to lighten your load. R&V have teamed up with clever new company Hoodoo to provide camping packages that can be paid for in advance, and you’ll have a tent, airbed, chairs, lights and even a sleeping bag ready and waiting on arrival. Leaves more room in the car for food, drinks and your mates!

The second ever R&A will be an absolutely unforgettable two days of music at the foot of Mt Hutt.

Rhythm and Alps, 28-29 December at Terrace Downs Resort, Canterbury
