95bFM Announces Xmas Party With Deep Sea Arcade
95bFM is excited to announce the return of the bFM Xmas Party - often mythologized, never duplicated - with DEEP SEA ARCADE & XURI XRUZ at Mum Clubnight at Cassette on Friday December 7th!
bFM & MUM Clubnight are extremely happy to be bringing Australia’s DEEP SEA ARCADE to Auckland to blow the balcony off Cassette Nine. The Sydney-based five-piece released their debut album Outlands earlier this year and quickly became one of bFM’s favourite bands of 2012 with their ability to blend retro British rock ‘n roll with modern-day indie sounds. With tracks that draw forth comparisons to everyone from the Smiths to Zeppelin to Portishead to the Kinks and back again, Deep Sea Arcade - frontman Nic Mckenzie, bassist Nick Weaver, drummer Carlos Adura, and guitarists Simon Relf and Tim Chamberlain - have caught the eye of MTV, Triple J, NME, Zane Lowe, and of course, bFM. So what better way to celebrate the impending holiday season than with a massive party in a small room with one of Australia’s best new bands? Take a gander at some of their tracks including the bFM heavyweight “Seen No Right” over at their soundcloud.
Joining Deep Sea Arcade are Auckland’s newest dance-party-starters XURI XRUZ, the brainchild of Bradley Artist (Teenwolf and Brand New Math), Calum Gunn (Brand New Math & Electric Confectionaires) and Ollie Skinner. Listen to their current bFM Top Ten hit “Oh Lothario” on their soundcloud and get on the bandwagon while there’s still room.
Tickets are strictly limited... they go on sale Tuesday, Oct 23rd and they are NOT going to last long! Tickets are $15 with your bCard or $20 without from Undertheradar.co.nz. Doorsales will be subject to availability.
bCards are available from the bFM offices, online, Sitka Newmarket, and Real Groovy.
DEEP SEA ARCADE, XURI XRUZ, plus one more support act to be announced -- MUM Clubnight, Cassette Number Nine -- Friday, Dec 7th -- R18.
