and Film Inc. affiliate office in Auckland, New
Zealand, the international distributor is searching for New
Zealand's best musical talent with the launch of its first
annual Kiwi Star Search competition and
television series.
The Kiwi Star Search team, comprised of celebrity judges, will be documenting its travels from New Zealand's Northland to Southland to uncover blooming new talent through a series of regional competitions. The Grand Prize is an international recording contract.
The Kiwi Star Search team consists of former band-mate of Ozzy Osbourne, Tommy Tutone and The Pointer Sisters, Terry Nails, who has also shared the stage with Axl Rose of Guns & Roses; Jon Wilkes, the drummer for the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, whose single received a gold certification with over 500,000 copies sold; and Stephen Wrench, the CEO of Musik and Film Inc., who has worked with international superstars such as Willie Nelson, Loverboy, Toto, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Survivor, Missing Persons, Starship, Lonestar, Darryl Worley, John Anderson and countless other artists to date.

With the overwhelming amount of talent the company sees on a daily basis, Music And Film Inc. is excited to launch the first annual Kiwi Star Search to find New Zealand’s next star.
The Grand Prize winner will be flown to the Hollywood, California on May 12, 2013 to spend a week recording their new release with the Kiwi Star Search team. Musik and Film Inc.’s record label, Starlight Records, will digitally release the album to a worldwide audience via The Orchard, and physically release it via Sony to all of Australasia. The Musik and Film Inc. radio promotion division will also release five singles to stations in 60 countries. The Second Prize is a record ing contract including worldwide distribution, radio promotion and publicity for three singles. Third Prize is worldwide distribution and radio promotion for one single.
The registration process has begun and artists have until January 15, 2013 to enter. The competition is limited to only 320 contestants and the entry fee is $150 NZ. All genres and styles of music are welcomed, so if you are talented and live in New Zealand - bring it on!
