Community auditions for Tracing Hamlet
Community auditions for Tracing Hamlet - Saturday 3 November from 10am
One of the the most popular elements of our Festival of Colour programme is our community production. Last festival, Sara Brodie directed a cast of locals and drama students from Mount Aspiring College in 'Riverside Drive' a rollicking tale about teenage immorality in Upper Hutt in the 1950's! It enjoyed a sold out six night season at Hawea Flat Hall and was a wonderful experience for both cast and audience members.
Sara is coming back to Wanaka for the 2013
Festival of Colour to direct a version of Hamlet -
'Tracing Hamlet' - that will be staged in Wanaka
tourist attraction Puzzling World.
If you have ever acted or want to try acting then please do come along to the community auditions at Mount Aspiring College this weekend. The only condition is that you must be over 15 years of age, and obviously must be available for performances during the festival April 16th to 21st. The rehearsal schedule is yet to be finalised but will involve some weekends.
Just phone the festival office on 03 443 4172 to book a 10 minute time slot from 10am on Saturday - you've got nothing to lose and everything to gain!
