Celebrate This Summer with the Beat Girls
Stratford will be enjoying the sweet sounds of summer, with the annual Summer Nights concert scheduled for Friday 22 February at King Edward Park, Stratford.
“The free community concert is aimed at promoting our beautiful parks and gardens, and celebrating summer in Stratford. We are encouraging families to bring a picnic dinner, and enjoy the evening.” says Stratford District Council Community Development Manager, Kate Whareaitu.
Well known Wellington band, The Beat Girls, are guaranteed to have the crowd up and dancing, with local artists opening the show from 6.30pm.
Rain or shine, the concert will go ahead. If wet, the concert will be moved to the War Memorial Centre on Miranda Street.
Entrance to the concert is through the Malone Gates on Fenton Street. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
