Maui Supports Oxfam Trailwalker for Seventh Year

MEDIA RELEASE

25 March 2013

Maui Supports Oxfam Trailwalker for Seventh Year

For the seventh consecutive year, maui is supporting Oxfam Trailwalker - an annual fundraising event to challenge poverty, where teams of four walk 100km together in under 36 hours.

This year to support the event, maui are offering their best deal yet: 25% off daily maui rental rates for Oxfam Trailwalker supporters, plus a donation of 10% to Oxfam for every motorhome or campervan booked.

Maui Brand Experience Manager Clare Bradley, says “We are delighted to continue our long term support of this event and encourage trail walkers to achieve their fund-raising goals.

Enabling participants to enjoy a maui ‘apartment on wheels’ as a support vehicle and luxury base-camp during and after the 100km walk is the least we could do!” says Clare.

Throughout the 30 year history of Oxfam Trailwalker over 32,000 teams, including many from overseas, have collectively walked over 11.5 million kilometres (equivalent to circling the world 287 times) and raised more than NZ$70 million.

The event takes place at scenic Lake Taupo over 6 and 7 April. For more information visit www.oxfamtrailwalker.org.nz

Bookings can be made by calling the maui international toll free number 00 800 200 80 801 or emailing direct@maui-rentals.com
