Friends of Owhiro Stream and the Catchment Community would like to invite you to:

He Mihi, He Wai, He Kai
A Celebration Of The Land And People Of The Owhiro Stream Catchment

Saturday 20th April 1.30pm – 4pm @ the Owhiro Stream ‘Bagel Factory Site’ -509 Happy Valley Road (emergency rain date – same time Sunday 21st )

To mark the official opening of a new community developed public space, the Owhiro Stream community are hosting a unique celebration. We welcome you to take part in a multicultural Mihi Whakatau ceremony, explore our new tracks and community artwork, learn more the future of this exciting project and take part in the creation of some interactive environmental art.

The event also includes a specially devised performance by the children of St. Bernard’s School developed with the help of Te Rakau Trust, and korero from Mayor Wade-Brown, Councillor Paul Eagle, Eugenie Sage MP and Friends of Owhiro Stream.

This a chance for you to celebrate your own culture and community - so feel to dress up!!

Please gather at the site by 1.20pm so we can start on time . Parking is limited so Car Pooling or walking from Brooklyn would be much appreciated.
