Comedy Show: Gloriously Average
Gloriously Average
‘A comedy festival show about two
office drones turned stand-up comedians’

Click for big version.
Are you a bit disappointed you’re not Jennifer Anniston or that guy with the hair and the nice smile from Fight Club? Did you think you’d end up working in an office where the highlight of your week was a fire drill and you got to walk down some stairs? Comedians Adam Wright and Rick Threlfo feel your pain, and we think it’s time we celebrated the life of everyday people – the Gloriously Average.
Adam Wright’s gloriously mundane life is focused around such activities as surfing (mainly of the TV channel variety) and strategically timing toilet breaks at work. Rick Threlfo talks about making the most of his depression, uncomfortable office team building exercises, and throwing an surprise birthday party for his dog.
This comedy festival these two defenders of drab will show you just how hilarious the everyday is upon closer inspection.
‘Gloriously Average’ is on in Wellington between 8’th -11’th of May 2013, 10pm each night at Cavern Club (22 Allen Street). Ticket prices are $14 for adults, $8 concession.
