SATURDAY MAY 25th & SUNDAY MAY 26th Art Exhibition, Music Concert, Performance Art, Children’s workshop

SEA STAR STUDIO, 28 Dundas Street, Seatoun, Wellington 6022, NZ

A multi-artist interpretation of the inner landscape of the psyche, where ‘reality’ collides with dreams, fears, secrets & desires with emerging & Internationally noted artists. An interactive element of models emerging from paintings, circus performance & music will draw the viewer further into the world of the artists’ visions. An evening of jazz, folk, opera, classic & show music will be presented to raise funds for ‘Taking Flight, the transformative power of story telling’ which supports & empowers youth, children with cancer & survivors of sexual violence. There will be a children’s circus workshop and an open mic poetry & spoken word evening.

JADE TOWNSEND Jade’s artistic practice is cross-medium, multi-disciplinary with emphasis on storytelling. Inspired by the Harlequin this new series continues a dialogue expanding her use of vibrant colour patterned colour combinations.

SEA STAR STUDIO is an artists' collective, open studio, exhibition space and creative hub. We are curating themed multi-media art exhibitions, developing film and theatre projects and a community storytelling workshop programme, TAKING FLIGHT, as well as presenting concerts and other special events. Founded by Stephanie Sinclaire Lightsmith and Katherine Wyeth to encourage creativity, collaboration, community & innovation.
