Life is sweet… and art is too!
We
are husband and wife team, Alan and Ellen Hodgetts –
local artists who work together under our brand name
SweetArts.
‘Life is Sweet’ showcases our individual
works as well as some of our collaborations.
Something for everybody
Our work is multi-disciplinary and the exhibition will feature a range of themes, styles, and media. We will be offering for sale original works, limited edition prints as well as some fun and quirky gifts.
Whilst our individual styles differ, the cohesion
in this exhibition comes from our united artistic values. We
take our art seriously but not ourselves. We aim to be
welcoming and accessible, not elitist or snooty!

Ellen Hodgetts:
Art Practice:
My
inspiration comes from art that can visually represent what
the eye can’t see—such as sound, music, personality or
that bright idea that sizzles in the brain. I enjoy
exploring techniques, materials and vibrant colours. I
especially love the colour blends that can be achieved using
spray paint and acrylic.
