Heavy Metal Ninjas Join Decortica And New Way Home
on North Island Tour
Decortica and New Way Home are extremely excited to announce the addition of the Heavy Metal Ninjas to the last three shows of their North Island tour this May.
Led by guitar virtuoso Richie Allan and formed in Auckland following years of jam sessions after Kora shows, the band also features Kora brothers Stu and Fran on guitar and bass respectively.
The Heavy Metal Ninjas' four track EP was released March 2012 to critical acclaim and comparisons to guitar legend Joe Satriani and extreme metallers Meshuggah.
Decortica’s uncompromising, angular alternative rock has drawn fans in for three albums and overwhelmed them at shows in New Zealand, Australia and Japan.
New Way Home is a perfect union of seasoned musicians, made up of Sommerset and Blindspott alumni and the band has reformed for this tour to sate fans itching to hear ‘Tides’, ‘Mirror’ and ‘Chrysalis’ played live.
