SFRQ support for Clara's concert
SFRQ support for Clara's concert
There's a strong Smokefreerockquest turn out
in support of former rockquester and New Zealand's Got
Talent winner Clara van Wel who is performing at the Theatre
Royal tomorrow night.
Livvy and Anna, who won the solo/duo section of the Nelson regional final of Smokefreerockquest last Friday night, will join the line up, along with regional finalists Paper City and ex-rockquester Marley (Richards) in the concert, which is being organised by youth recreation agency 'The Truck'.
Livvy Nott and Anna Robinson started playing together only three weeks ago when their Garin College music teacher suggested entering Smokefreerockquest would be good experience for them. However, they’re both from musical families, with Livvy’s older sister Georgia fronting The Peasants before opting last year to go solo.
Rockquest Promotions Director Pete Rainey says its fantastic to see this example of the peer support that SFRQ offers, in action in Nelson.
"We're thrilled to give these young performers another gig so soon after winning their section at the Nelson final last week," he said. "It's great that they are able to support Clara who won the Marlborough regional Final of SFRQ in 2011 and 2012.
The concert is supported by the Nelson City Council and begins at 7.30pm. Tickets are available at Ticketdirect from the Theatre Royal box office.
