A Glitzy Night at the Roxy
A Glitzy Night at the Roxy

Zonta’s sell-out fundraising event was held on Monday night at The Roxy in Miramar. Baz Luhrmann’s film, “The Great Gatsby”, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan, Joel Edgerton and Tobey Maguire was the attraction. Of course with any Glitzy evening it started off with a glass of “bubbly” in great nineteen twenties style.
Annette Boddy organizer
of the evening said, “I am delighted with the response to
the film but sad we had to disappoint so many who wanted to
attend.” The film was a very glamorous interpretation of
F Scott Fitzgerald’s novel about American society
living life to the full.
“The proceeds from the evening’s takings were going to be split two ways, to a Zonta International Service Project, and to the New Zealand District Gynecological Cancer project.” says Boddy.
