Sweet success for winner of the Shore City 2013 Art of Cake Awards

Bites Cakes was announced the winner of the Shore City Art
of Cake Awards last night, after 3 weeks of public voting.
The stunning creation by cake artist Sondra Velich, was
inspired by a Christian Dior couture
gown and reflected the opulence and glamour of the ‘haute couture’ competition theme.
"The response we’ve received from the public over the last 3 weeks has been fantastic. It was such a different and unexpected event compared to what people are used to seeing in shopping centres," says Shore City Marketing Manager, Anna Gervai.
"Shore City is very proud to have created an event that put the talent of Auckland's cake artists on a pedestal. We have world-class talent here that deserved to be showcased," says Gervai.
