Which Way is Up? New book from Jeremy Corbett
Which Way is Up?
Welcome to this guide to your New Human from me, Jeremy Corbett. I’ll start with a disclaimer: it’s not a guide. If you choose to follow some of the things that I have done, then it’s on you, pal.
This book is largely stories of my experiences, as a man, in the creation and maintenance of a New Human. She’s an awesome one, too. And given that she is so awesome, I felt it only fair that I should share my wisdom with you, so that you too can have the best human possible.
I wrote this book because I felt there was a shortage of literature on New Humans targeting the halfinterested male. It’s a book that has short chapters so guys will be able to focus for a whole one! Women will find it interesting to read and realise just how little I have learned about having kids. Kids will love it because you can scribble on the pages. Dogs will love it too, but only once you have smeared jelly meat over it.
I hope you’ll feel more confident in your parenting abilities by the end of this book. If this moron can do it, how hard can it be?! Whether you are a long-time parent, a new parent, a surprised parent, avoiding being a parent or even thinking about becoming a parent, I wish you all the best in your contribution to the continuation of the species.
Written with Jeremy Corbett’s typical wit and self-depreciating style, Which Way Up? will have you laughing all the way to the change table.
A stand-up comedian, radio and television presenter, computer programmer and Leo, Jeremy was born in Westport, grew up in Palmerston North and now lives in Auckland.
He is married to the wonderful Megan and together they assembled the most wonderful daughter called Charlie a few years ago, with a second daughter following close behind. They also have a dog called Nugget who is less than impressed about these New Humans, although they are a good source of second-hand food.
You most likely know Jeremy as the host of 7 Days. He has also hosted Deal Or No Deal in New Zealand and has given his kiss of death to various other TV projects. Most recently he starred in the sitcom The Radio. In 2011 he retired as the host of More FM Auckland’s breakfast show after 18 years.
