C-City Brothers score trifecta on New Zealand music charts

6 August 2013

C-City Brothers score trifecta on New Zealand charts – debut single Never Walk Away #1 on iTunes charts

They laid down the challenge and the public responded. Never Walk Away, the debut single from the C- City Brothers (Andy Ellis, Israel Dagg, Willie Heinz, Telusa Veainu and Robbie Fruean), has scored the top spot on not one, but three iTunes charts in New Zealand.

The track has landed the boy band the number one selling single on the official iTunes chart. Additionally it is number one on the New Zealand artist chart and the official iTunes dance chart.

The track has received overwhelming support from the New Zealand media as well as massive social support from fans. In one day, the video on YouTube has been viewed more than 45,000 times and more than 5,000 people joined the band’s Facebook page.

“We are really stoked at the response,” says Andy Ellis. “All of us are thrilled at the enthusiasm of the New Zealand public for this song and also for helping raise money for Cystic Fibrosis.

“We have had a lot of invitations to perform as a boy band. We are considering our options at the moment and seriously considering our future,” says Andy.

“We encourage people who have not yet bought the song off iTunes to do so. The more people that buy the song, the more money we can raise for the Cystic Fibrosis Association.”
