KITSCH
A
group exhibition.

Fine art has often been handicapped by an internal elitism that enforces a strict criteria of what art is or can be. Art that wasn't considered up to the grade was often labelled kitsch for being too sentimental, marketable or having popular appeal. While this notion is constantly being challenged today it is still a tradition that holds a great deal of power.
This exhibition will showcase a range of works that brings a bit of kitsch into the gallery.
