The Red Bull Music Studio Auckland Now in Session; a Brand New Creative Hub for New Zealand Musicians.

Red Bull Studio Auckland

Over the last three months the heart of the Red Bull Studio in Auckland has been rebuilt, during this time the beat never stopped. The state-of-the-art facility recently relocated from Freeman’s Bay with the Red Bull HQ to a brand new building fit out in Grey Lynn.

With the move came a total rebuild complemented by a new moving image production suite, making the facility a unique total digital media solution. The studio will promote and capture New Zealand music by providing access to a contemporary recording and production facility for a variety of local and international musical talent of all levels.

The Auckland Studio was established in 2002 and was the first of 10 Red Bull Music studios that now dot the globe; brother to London, Amsterdam, Madrid, Cape Town, Copehagen, New York, Paris, Sao Paulo and Los Angeles.

This week hosts the official curtain raiser of the new studio, with alternative hip-hop trio “The Wyld” testing out the facility and recording their forthcoming EP. An official launch party for artists associated with the studio will be held tonight at the studio, showcasing the new look and feel.

The studio schedule for August and October has already been filled with local talent including 17-year-old Wellington rapper “Young Tapz,” Electronic duo “Ophelia”, Stan Walker’s house band “The Levites,” “@Peace” and rock and roll hipsters “Superbird.”

The Red Bull Prodigy project which commences in October sees an international producer flown in to mentor a NZ artist, providing a creative space for both to share ideas and collaborate on new music.

The new global Red Bull Studios website www.redbullstudios.com is now live and acts as a digital hub for the 10 world-wide studios, showcasing a varied portfolio of talented artists across multiple genres.
