Treble Cone Spring Snow Update

Main Street, Home Basin, Treble Cone NZ (18 Sept 2013)
With
only one and a half weeks to go in Snow Season 2013, Treble
Cone (Wanaka NZ) is enjoying fantastic Spring skiing and
snowboarding conditions, with lots of snow and sunshine.
The Saddle Basin at Treble Cone has the best snow cover in the Southern Lakes region of Queenstown and Wanaka, and quite possibly the best skiing and boarding currently in NZ and Australia currently with its snow depth as measured at Tim’s Table (1960m) currently over 3m deep, and offering wall-to-wall skiing and boarding both on and off-piste.
The Home Basin trails including Main Street and Roller Coaster (intermediate), Easy Rider and the Platter (beginner), Camel and Big Skite (advanced) are all skiing well and groomed nightly.
The snow cover includes a mix of dry snow in the gullies, great Spring groomed snow which is firm early and softens throughout the day on trail, and off-piste the snow has been releasing into cream mid to late morning. The Jazz Intermediate Park is open including a couple of kickers followed by a number of fun-boxes.
Treble Cone officially closes on Sunday 29 September.
