Miss Universe New Zealand Gala Final tickets on sale as show returns to TV

Auckland, September 26, 2013 - Tickets are continuing to sell rapidly for the Miss Universe New Zealand Gala Final at Sky City, Auckland, on October 5.

The competition, revamped after a new group came on board in March, returns to TV screens this year, after an absence of two decades.

Twenty finalists from around the country will take to the stage at the Sky City Theatre at an event filled with glamour and entertainment, including performances from The X Factor NZ’s Maaka Fiso and Gap 5, along with Tim Beveridge, Zaverr Doctor, Diamond Dance Entertainment, and more.

The box office opens at 6.30 p.m., and doors open at 7 p.m., with a celebrity red carpet. The main act commences at 7.30 p.m.

The top 20 will become 10 during the show, which will be broadcast live on Juice TV that evening—the first time Miss Universe New Zealand has been on New Zealand TV screens since the 1990s.

Ten then become five, then one, as Miss Universe New Zealand 2013 is crowned, and heads off to Moscow to represent our country.

Every audience member will receive the glossy souvenir brochure and the exclusive Miss Universe Swarovski Grand Final pin.
