For the fifth Christmas, Auckland’s Vector Arena will be again filled with thousands of voices and lit by 10,000 glowsticks, on Sunday 15 December, for the much-loved 'GLOW – Carols by Glowstick'.
Hosted by Petra Bagust, and starring X Factor’s Maaka Fiso, the St Paul’s band & choirs, plus surprise guests, GLOW is the Christmas celebration where the audience is as much a part of the show as the people on stage.
Petra Bagust says, “It’s just a sensational celebration, a time for friends and family to get together and enjoy singing. And singing is good for the soul”.
Popular with young and old, the GLOW programme is a mix of traditional and contemporary arrangements of well-known and new Christmas carols, plus unique Christmas storytelling, including St Paul’s globally renowned short films.
Profits from GLOW 2013 ticket sales will be donated to TEAR Fund. Last year over $26,000 was raised for KidsCan.
Attendees are also invited to bring an item or two of non-perishable food to drop into bins for the Auckland City Mission as they arrive at Vector Arena to support Auckland families who struggle at Christmastime.
The last four GLOWs have been sellouts, so grab your tickets quick from Ticketmaster.
“Get yourself a ticket, get yourself along, you get given a glowstick and sing your heart out. Start a Christmas tradition and go to GLOW”, suggests Petra.
