The BMW Polo Open Steps It up a Notch in Clevedon on Sunday Febuary 22, 2015

Elite Polo players, and the cream of Auckland social set are preparing to get 'back on the horse' and gear up for the 48th annual BMW Polo Open. Auckland Polo Club is pleased to announce the BMW Polo Open will return to the picturesque Fisher Field, Clevedon, onSunday February 22, 2015.

“We are delighted to host the BMW Polo Open", says Simon Wilson, BMW Polo Open Executive Director. "Throughout the year, Auckland Polo Club has made a substantial investment in the grounds and infrastructure, to ensure the BMW Polo Open 2015 is not only a world class sporting event, but also a fantastic day out for everyone who attends".

Auckland Polo Club Manager, Hannah Marshall, says the standard of competition on the field, and the hospitality available for spectators, has stepped up a notch this year, “We are excited to announce six teams will compete for honours at the 2015 BMW Polo Open, including last year's champions, Rodd and Gunn. We have some of the best International representative players from New Zealand, England, Australia, and South Africa, plus two strong teams making the journey from the South Island. It's going to be a very tough tournament”.

A day at the BMW Polo Open offers a great opportunity to catch up with friends and family, or colleagues and clients. All can enjoy the beautiful countryside, while watching the fast-paced and visually stunning sport of Polo, or simply soak up the atmosphere, and watch the glamorous crowd. Whether you sip champagne in one of the sponsors marquees, or enjoy a casual picnic, there is something for everyone", continues Marshall.
