24 November, 2014
Devonport’s popular music festival, Devonstock, is back for 2014!
The Devonport Peninsula Trust and Depot Sound Recording Studio are gearing up for the 6th instalment of Devonstock and couldn’t be more excited! Previous years have seen some outstanding acts including:
Brain Slaves, The Checks, The Earlybirds, Five Mile Town, The Nevernudes, The Psychs, Ruby Frost, White Birds & Lemons, and even Ella (Lorde) and Louis (Five Mile Town) performed together in 2010 when Lorde was first starting out.
This year the line-up includes Jesse Sheehan just off the Dizzy Heights world tour of Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the US, UK and Europe as guitarist and backing vocalist to Neil Finn; indie/pop band TUGGS from Takapuna Grammar School who formed this year to compete in the Smokefree Rockquest alongside VIVID, a four piece female pop group who came third in the competition; Thin White Lines, winners of the 2014 Ding Dong Lounge band competition who are releasing their EP Chemicals on the 19th of December; and Delic Exodus, a rap group, clothing label and visual artists. India Yelich-O’Connor is also following in her sister’s footsteps, with Livy Wicks, as duo Indy and Livy.
With thanks to sponsors, Music Planet NZ for providing the back line, Depot Sound Recording Studio for artist wrangling and coordination, Nanotek, and the Devonport-Takapuna Local Board.
There will be gourmet food, drink, coffee and ice cream available plus plenty of shade so come and celebrate local music in the beautiful surrounds of the Devonport waterfront. Please note this is an alcohol and smoke-free event.
Devonstock, Free Live Music in Windsor Reserve, Devonport Sunday 14th December 3 – 7pm
