Art, Sun, and Artisan Food for the 2015 Raglan Arts Weekend

Art, Sun, and Artisan Food Lined Up for the 2015 Raglan Arts Weekend

The Raglan Arts Weekend looks forward to welcoming art-lovers and foodies for Anniversary Weekend, January 24-25th 2015.

Raglan is ready to rock its sixth successful Arts Weekend – an event drawing summer crowds since 2008. This year, a tantalising combination of art, food, and wine is in store for festival-goers.

Original art will be paired with artisan food as the Raglan Arts Weekend launches its very first ‘Little Food Fest’ – a line-up of the very best gastronomic delights from the Waikato region and further afield. Artisan bread, wine, cheese, icecream and more will be temptingly displayed right in the heart of the action at vendor stalls.

The Raglan Arts Weekend Guide provides details of over 30 artists exhibiting either at their studios or the Old School. An impressive range of work includes painting, sculpture, photography, jewellery and wearable art. This work will be on display and available for purchase, and the local artists are always happy to discuss their thoughts and processes.

Visitors are warmly invited to the official launch preview event on Friday 23rd January, 6.30pm at the Raglan Old School Arts Centre, where you can meet the artists and view examples of their work.

Copies of the official Raglan Arts Weekend Guide are available at the Raglan Information Centre, the Raglan Old School Arts Centre on Stewart Street, at Raglan cafés and galleries and many other outlets throughout the Waikato and Auckland. Check out participating artists’ work via www.facebook.com/raglanart.

A fun weekend of art, sun, and delicious artisan food is the perfect way to experience the relaxed, friendly vibe in Raglan; one of New Zealand’s funkiest little seaside towns.
