The Winery Tour adopts NZ Music Foundation as tour charity
The Winery Tour 2015 adopts New Zealand Music Foundation as official tour charity
The New Zealand Music Foundation is the official charity of The Winery Tour 2015.
The New Zealand Music Foundation works with organisations that use music to change lives such as the Raukatauri Music Therapy Centre, StarJam, Zeal and Strike Percussion. It also provides emergency assistance to people in the music community who experience illness and hardship.
Co-promoter of The Winery Tour, Brent Eccles, says that it is a great fit for The New Zealand Music Foundation to be a part of the tour.
“We’re blessed in New Zealand with amazing natural venues for outdoor concerts and when we combine them with our very best kiwi artists, it’s something quite magical. You can feel the resulting goodwill in the air at The Winery Tour shows, so it’s a perfect match for us to use this to support a leading national music charity that is dedicated to changing the lives of those in need in our country."
New Zealand Music Foundation General Manager, Peter Dickens, says: “We see the magic that music can perform every day in the youth, healthcare, community and social development projects we support. We receive no government funding, so partnerships like this are vital to our work. We’re enormously excited, grateful and proud to be adopted as the official charity of The Winery Tour 2015.”
