ASB Auckland Seafood Festival, Anniversary Weekend
ASB Auckland Seafood Festival, Anniversary Weekend
(24-26 January 2015)
Know your lobster from your cray? Savour three glorious days at the country’s biggest festival of seafood at Halsey Wharf, Wynyard Quarter.
From garlic buttered scampi and plump Bluff oysters to roasted groper belly, more than 100 delicious seafood dishes will be on offer across 50 pop-up stands, along with demonstrations from top chefs, live music and family entertainment.
Come down for the annual Blessing of the Fleet to wish New Zealand’s fishing fleet a safe and prosperous year ahead or watch as locals try to conquer the Slippery Pole, a Sicilian tradition where fisherman try to reach a flag at the end of a greased pole suspended above the harbour.
Tickets on sale now. See www.aucklandseafoodfestival.co.nz for details.
