From snow to sunshine: The Ying Quartet
From snow to sunshine

The Ying Quartet
Philip Ying of the famed New York quartet says they’re very excited about making the trip to New Zealand: “It's a place we've never been before, and it has a reputation as one of the most beautiful places on earth! It helps that we will be at a summer music festival when it is in the dead of winter here in Rochester, New York with temperatures well below zero. Of course, we're also very excited to be collaborating with the New Zealand String Quartet, musicians we've known for decades and respect very much.”
Hear members of the NZSQ and the Ying Quartet in Pergolesi’s beautiful Stabat Mater along with the Song Company from Australia; and in various permutations in the Beethoven and Bruckner quintets and in the Schoenberg and Brahms’ sextets.
