An intimate evening with four of NZ’s most loved songwriters

IN HOUSE
Songs & Conversations

An intimate evening with four of New Zealand’s most loved songwriters.

Featuring Don McGlashan, Rodney Fisher, Anna Coddington & Jol Mulholland

Following the sold out success and standing ovations of 2014, APRA and the Q Theatre are again proud to present
In House - Songs & Conversations

In House 2015 brings together four of New Zealand’s most acclaimed songwriters in a unique and intimate setting, with all proceeds going to support The New Zealand Music Foundation.

This year joining Don McGlashan are Rodney Fisher (Goodshirt), Anna Coddington and Jol Muholland, with performances that explore the stories behind the music that fuels our city and our lives.

Much like a house concert, each artist will perform solo or with the acoustic backing of the others, responding to a series of ’starting points’: one of their own songs that the audience would expect, one they wouldn’t, a new song, and a cover that made them think about our city in a different way. This might be a song by an Aucklander, about Auckland, or just a song that made them see Auckland in a different light.

“I am so pleased that these three exceptional artists have agreed to join me in a night that will be something special“, says Don McGlashan. “In House 2014 was a bunch of songwriters backing each other, sharing ideas and backgrounds to old and new songs, and talking about the way music pins us to geography and community, and it came off better than any of us expected. This year’s edition looks set to continue the tradition. And once again we’re thrilled to be supporting the New Zealand Music Foundation, a cause that should be close to every music-loving New Zealander’s heart.”
